Little Miss Sunshine
Posted in Entertainment on December 29th, 2006This was a great, funny, and relatively short film about a really dysfunctional and delusional family who set out on a roadtrip to the Little Miss Sunshine Pagent. It’s particularly funny because it captures many of the emotional struggles, dreams and letdowns that every one of us experiences in a lifetime, but spread across an extended family in a roadtrip period of two days. I watched the movie on DVD with my sister, Sandy, Jonathan, Priscilla, and Brandon; we had great laughs.
The tagline of this movie should be: “Do what you want; [screw] everything else.” (PG version) Also, don’t enter beauty pagents, and don’t let grandpa teach your daughter how to dance.
4 out of 5 stars (highly recommended)
